What is included with my membership benefit?

The Performance Management System is a service provided to Employers Group members at no cost, redeemable annually to all new and renewing members. Included in the benefit is a customized performance assessment form(s), sample employee communications and a performance management best practices guide.

What are the fees for the Performance Management System?

The Performance Management System is a service provided to Employers Group members at no cost. Starting July 1, 2015, this service is available to any new or renewing member company. A member company and its representative may use this service once per year among its employee population.

What if my company has more than one division and each division has a different review cycles?

The membership benefit is inclusive to all the divisions in which you have purchased a membership for. It is best to download all resources at one time and save these resources to be used as each review cycle comes up throughout the year for your separate divisions. If you wish to make edits to the original assessment statements included, this can be done for a nominal fee.

Are there any additional fees that I need to be concerned with?

None – the basic package is designed to allow you to a launch a basic, but comprehensive, performance management assessments to your managers and employees. If however, a company needs a more customized solution,online service, management consulting, analytical reports, etc., then Employers Group can provide the company with a quote based on additional services being requested.

What are the competencies covered by the assessment?

There are 33 competencies, with multiple statements that can be included in the employee assessment. You can choose any of the areas. For a complete list, click here.

Can I edit, add or remove questions from the dimensions?

You can choose to customize competencies by removing our statements or including your own written statements. You may customize your performance management assessment form to include any of the 33 competencies. However, the statements associated with the competency cannot be modified as they are designed to specifically measure the competency. Changing them will negate the validity of the core competency. You can choose to customize competencies by removing our statements or including your own written statements.

Can the statement rating options be customized?  Which rating option should I choose for my company?

The statement types within each performance assessment involve a rating scale for responses. It is useful to determine the measure of an opinion, attitude, knowledge or behavior using this type of selection option. We offer x number of rating scales for you to choose from. It is important to consider which rating scale may best fit your company’s culture when determining your selection.

Where can I download the resources?

You may download all resources from the My EG Surveys Portal. You will be provided your login username and password in your notification package. Once you login, navigate to the My Performance Management Assessments within the main portal page to download all templates and resources.

Can I make edits to the assessment once I download my custom forms from Employers Group?

We provide the assessment forms to you as an editable, flat file. You can make any edits that you would like within the flat file; however, we strongly suggest against making major changes to the assessment form. Changing the form to any degree can and will negate the validity of the assessment. Once Employers Group provides you with the final form, you have sole ownership of its use.

How do I deploy performance appraisals across multiple divisions or locations within my company?

Is the Performance Management Assessment form available in multiple languages?

Yes, all assessments are available in English, Spanish, and/ or other languages, depending on your preference.

Can you help me prepare for deploying my employee assessments?

Yes, with the Performance Management Assessment System you receive after you register, you will also receive sample templates to help you communicate with managers and employees. You may choose to use these templates and customize them to your needs.

Do I need to update my compensation assessment forms annually, or can I use this template for many years?

You can use the form we provide you for many years. If your core company goals are modified or your company undergoes a major organizational change then you may want to consider requesting updated performance assessments to align with your new/ updated company goals.  This will ensure the assessments maintain their effectiveness when evaluating employee performance.
